Once you have deleted the files, go back to the ETW folder and click the ETW game app.
Also go through all of the sub-folders inside the data folder and check that there is no DarthMod Empire folder or files that remain. In your ETW folder select the data folder and delete any files that contain DME. Click properties from the drop down box, select the Local Files tab, then select the Browse Local Files Button. Specifically, Empire Total War crashes my entire computer upon startup, right at the first logo screen and gives me 'Video Scheduler Internal Error' I used Darthmod before and got Empire to work, sometimes. Log onto steam, go to your library, and right click Empire Total War. After working on this for a few days, I found a way to get the game to work. I deleted the game off steam and re-installed it twice, verified the game cache, and also tried to load it directly from the directx and vcredit applications, but the game still crashed on startup. I followed the instructions from steam and it still didn't solve my problem. I had Darthmod Empire and deleted the files because it caused my game to crash on startup. I have deleted all the files ands reinstalled them many times but nothing seems to be working. I unistalled it and now my game crashes on startup.
